Videos über das "Gemüse auf der Pirsch" in HUNTING VEGGIES®-Qualität. Beide
Filme sind in englischer Sprache. Part 1 ist eine Zusammenfassung unserer beiden ersten
deutschen Fleischi Videos (Auf Fleischi-Suche in Australien 90/91 + Das Insektivoren Video
1993), plus einem Ausflug zu den Sarracenia purpurea in die Schweiz. Part 2 ist
identisch mit unserem Film "Reiseziel
Insektivoren" (1995). Diese Filme wurden noch
mit S-VHS Videokamera aufgenommen, jedoch 2004 auf DV-Band digitalisiert und
auf DVD umgestellt. Seit 2011 nicht mehr im Sortiment. Einzelne Kopien auf Wunsch erhältlich (Email).
Part 1
is our first movie in the English language, providing a compact editing of our 1990 to
1994 CP-adventures in Australia, Germany, Switzerland and the Seychelles. Part 2 is
identical with our "Reiseziel
Insektivoren" video from 1995, which found a lot of interest and a nice feedback. Both movies have been
filmed in S-VHS video format and were remastered to DV-tape and rendered
to DVD in 2004. Not available anymore since 2011. Single copies possible on demand (email).

PART 1:
1990 starten wir von Sydney aus eine Fahrt entlang
der australischen Ostküste. Auf dem Weg nach Port Douglas in Nord Queensland finden wir
natürlich Karnivoren und besuchen die Nepenthes Sammlung von Marylin Minon in Townsville. Rechtzeitig
vor dem Eintreffen eines Zyklons fliegen wir weiter nach Darwin, machen einige Exkursionen
und reisen dann schliesslich nach Perth in Western Australia. Hier treffen wir einen
bekannten Fleischi Experten und können Standorte von Byblis gigantea, Cephalotus
follicularis, sowie vieler Arten von Zwergsonnentau zeigen. Danach erleben wir einige
Ausflüge zu einheimischen Karnivoren in Deutschland und der Schweiz, um dann noch eine
Reise auf die Seychellen zu zeigen, wo es dank Basil Beaudouin den schönsten
Naturstandort der endemischen Nepenthes pervillei zu sehen gibt. Ein Highlight
für echte Fleischi Fans!
PART 2: 1995 zieht es uns wieder nach Down Under. Natürlich stehen die Fleischfressenden Pflanzen wieder im Mittelpunkt, wenn wir mit einem australischen Experten durch die Kimberleys fahren und fliegen. In Kununurra, einem Hot Spot für Karnivoren, erleben wir unangenehme, aber auch äusserst erfolgreiche Abenteuer und können diverse Pflanzen (z.B. Byblis filifolia, erstmals Drosera hartmeyerorum, Drosera ordensis) am Naturstandort filmen, und die Symbiose mit Blindwanzen auf den tropischen Arten dokumentieren. Dann geht es weiter nach Darwin, wo es natürlich wieder viele Fleischis zu sehen gibt und last but not least fliegen wir nach Cairns, um uns mit Trevor Hannam und seiner Frau Cay zu treffen. Dank ihrer Hilfe können wir auch noch einen Standort der australischen Varietät von Nepenthes mirabilis filmen. Dieser Film heisst in der deutschen Fassung "Reiseziel Insektivoren" und fand auf diversen Vorträgen in der Schweiz und Deutschland viel Beifall und gute Kritiken. PART 1:
1990 we drive along the Australian eastcoast from
Sydney up to Port Douglas. On our way to North Queensland we find several CP and visit the
big Nepenthes collection of Marylin Minon (Townsville) and take a glance on the amazing landscapes
of the Cape York Peninsula. Just at time when a cyclone threatens Cairns, we catch our
plane and proceed to Darwin where we undertake some more excursions. Aproaching Perth in
Western Australia, we start one of the highlights of this CP-trip. Meeting an
Australian CP-expert there, we are able to find many habitats with beautiful and hungry
plants as Byblis gigantea, Cephalotus follicularis, and many species of
the pygmy drosera family. Coming back to Europe we visit a natural habitat in
Germany and also two of the famous Sarracenia purpurea sites in
Switzerland. Last
but not least, we take a trip to the Seychelles, and thanks to the mountain
guide Basil Beaudouin we are able
to show the most beautiful site of Nepenthes pervillei on Mahé. Again a
highlight for every CP-enthusiast.
PART 2: 1995 we travel again to Down Under. Actually, carnivorous plants are the main topic when we drive and fly through the Kimberley region, accompanied by an Australian. At the small town Kununurra (Eastern Kimberley) - a hot spot for CP - we experience a bad surprise, however, additional some very successful adventures. We show several plants (i.e.: Byblis filifolia, for the first time Drosera hartmeyerorum (at that time still called D. indica "red"), Drosera ordensis and it's symbiotic bugs) in their natural habitat, and report more detailed about the symbiosis between CP and different Capsid bugs. Then we proceed to Darwin, filming again many plants of the region, and last but not least we fly to Cairns in Northern Queensland. There we meet Trevor and Kay Hannam who enable us to find a natural growing site of the Australian tropical pitcher plant Nepenthes mirabilis. This movie is available in the German language too, that edition is called "Reiseziel Insektivoren". Both versions are identical, except the language. |
